Vale Volunteer Network celebrates 20 years and 1.5 million people benefited
The National Volunteer Day (8/28) marked the 20 years of the Vale Volunteer Network (RVV), created in 2004 from a suggestion by the Vale Foundation. Today, the Network connects more than 7,500 volunteers from six Brazilian states, who have already carried out more than 2,000 actions and benefited about 1.5 million people over these two decades.
Among the initiatives carried out by the Vale Volunteer Network are blood donation campaigns, raising funds and essential items for humanitarian aid, support for the strengthening of social entities, and promoting classes in English language, technology and professional improvement.
“This commitment, combined with knowledge of the territory, allows a productive dialogue with the beneficiaries and the local organizations supported”, says Pâmella De-Cnop, executive director of the Vale Foundation and manager of the Vale Volunteer Network.
The Network is open to the participation of Vale employees, family members, partner organizations, suppliers and all those who want to support life transformations through voluntary practice.
