On November 25, 21 participants of the Future Maker project had the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the working world during a visit to Vale’s facilities in Minas Gerais. The activity was planned to reinforce the connection between the theoretical knowledge acquired in the classroom and its practical application in a real work environment, and thus provide students with a clearer vision of possible professional opportunities and challenges.

The program included hands-on activities, such as robotics workshops and Scratch programming (an IT language for creating games, animations, and interactive stories), as well as a lecture by Vale employees, that covered the company’s global operations, innovative technological practices, and the importance of interpersonal skills in the professional environment. During the event, workplace safety and the relevance of sustainability in modern industry were also emphasized.

    About the project

It provides technical training and psychosocial support, enabling participants to realize their potential and prepare adequately for their professional journey. The initiative results from a partnership between the Vale Foundation, the Industrial Social Service (Sesi), and the National Industrial Learning Service (Senai).
